Terodde injured . . . and now he’s okay again

Trainers use test matches for a variety of thing, but there is one constant result every one of them wants to claim when the final whistle blows.

Unfortunately, Simon Terodde was injured during Wednesday’s 2:1 test win over VfL Bochum. The second division’s top scorer left the match at halftime, reportedly due to pain in his left knee.

Fortunately, T-Rod was medically cleared on Thursday to return to training for the afternoon session.

With Anthony Modeste remaining in employment limbo and Simon Zoller gone to VfL Bochum in a mid-season transfer, adding Terodde’s name to an already-lengthy list of unavailable FC players would have put at least a little bit of a damper on the enthusiasm for the return of 2. Bundesliga football.

For now, we can probably expect to see Terodde and Cordoba leading the FC attack next week at 1. Union Berlin.

Of course, there remains several training sessions between now and then, so . . . NOBODY GET INJURED!
